Picked my '92 100S up from the mechanic last night (just had state
inspection and emissions done), and today I notice an odd noise in the
steering that was not there before. When I start to turn the steering wheel
counterclockwise from center, there is a loud popping noise in the engine
bay from under the master cylinder. The noise is not present when turning
the wheel clockwise. Any ideas on what this may be? Steering rack? TIA.
