Rob,
I don't have any direct experience with the GT but the
I'm planning on A/C on my 90q turbo converion. I left
all the AC plumbing in (expect for compressor and
reciever/dryer of course) and managed to sqeeze an
alternator on the passender side of the engine exactly
where the 5000 turbos have them. Its very tight but it
all fits.
Next spring I'll hook up a compressor on the drivers
side. This will entail making some custom brackets but
it does not look to difficult.
