Cant get trunk open on 4K!

You may have lost vacuum from the pump to the trunk.  Here are a couple of
things to try:

1)  Key positions on the trunk - a) horizontal  - that is turn the key all
the way counter-clockwise should enable the power locks from drive and
passenger side to lock and unlock the trunk respectively.  That is when all
is working properly, which i assume is not the case.

2) Vertical is the "locked" position.  Depressing the button will not open
trunk.

3) Turn the key to from the locked position (2) clockwise to about the
2-O'clock position and depress the button with the key in.  That should
unlock the trunk.

Hopefully that will let you open the trunk, and now you need to fix what is
wrong with (1).

[Help! I can't get the trunk open on my new (to me) 4ks! The key turns, it
pushes in, it just won't open.

 Anybody have any tricks or tips?
