sizzling rear rotors again

I've never replaced a pin. If the pin/bore in the
carrier are so bad they can't be cleaned, I go to the
pick'n'pull. Doesn't take long to find a nice one
that can be cleaned and regreased. As for the kits,
I'm beginning to suspect there's ONE kit that fits
like every Audi and VW from our vintage? I bought
several sets a few years ago when I realized what a
problem this was. Still have a few and am looking at
one right now. Green Lucas box with white lettering.
Have gotten a few in yellow Lucas boxes with blue
lettering. Earlier color scheme? Audi p/n 443 698
470. Lucas p/n SP7250. Made in Germany. Also says
Girling on that label. 4 pin boots and small packet
of red grease. FWIW, while grabbing this box off the
shelf, I saw some other items. Open box of G60
rebuild kit. Open box of rear caliper rebuild kit.
What's this book? 5 page technical paper with "9"
photos, including an excellent exploded view. Didn't
even realize this was in there. Lucas publication
#XZB137. They mention Piston Repair Kit (piston boot
and o-ring)?, Hydraulic Overhaul Kit (all the
seals/o-rings on the brake fluid/hydraulic side of the
caliper)? and Adjuster kit (spring and grease seal for
adjuster cam)?. Pretty good stuff.
