Going to install MAC-11 timing pin, where does it go?

I've found references using CNC coordinates, but I'm
trying to do this on the car...  I'm planning on
marking the tooth closest to TDC, then going from
there.  Anyone know how many teeth from TDC it is?
Also, this is an NG flywheel, I've heard it needs some
material removed before this can be done.  Is this
true?  I can move the sensor if needed, but simply
can't pull the engine or drop the tranny right now.
