Test driving a TT

Following Ti's comments, I recently poured through Audi sales numbers and TT
sales #s:
1999
65,959 units sold, 5139 were TTs
2000
80,372 units sold, 12,027 were TTs
2001
83,283 units sold, 12,523 were TTs
2002
85,726 units sold, 9513 were TTs
2003 (through July)
49,062 units sold, 4907 were TTs
As you can see, they reached a peak and quickly dropped off. It's been
hammered in recent tests in the Buff Books, including a last-place finish in
a Car and Driver convertible comparison.
Also, Audi took a number of 2002 vehicles that were unsold and made them
Certified Pre-owned (earlier in the year). MANY were TTs. Now, it's probably
rare that any are left, but you never know.
Basically, you got a new, untitled car but with the full warranty and
extended warranty. Good deal.
Good luck,
Jon
