I'll agree and disagree. I agree the 914 are great cars for the aircooled motors, being stuck in the middle of the chassis and all, and they're light enough a good stout motor provides a great deal of grin factor when playing. The one water-cooled conversion I rode in provided an eye-opening whoop of delight, and should the budget (and garage) ever allow it, I'd not turn down a Renegade conversion, chev 350 and a strengthened (or replaced with a g50?) gearbox. what fun. there was a renegade conversion web site out there, but it's not coming up right at the moment..
