Cannot remove O2 sensor *

Though a torch will help, IME, getting a stubborn O2 like this out involves a deep, 22mm impact socket and a 1/2" breaker bar. Cut off all the wires to the O2 and have at it. I wouldn't get too hung up on the whole heat thing, but that's me and my experience.
