I was told it took almost a yer to get finished, had about 250 hour into it and a cost of roughtly $28,000 including the car. True?

Subject: 4000q v8 swap

I saw the V84kq at the National event this November at Sears Point. There
was a lot of work done to make the car look stock on the outside (except for
the huge brakes/wheels). Under the hood there was a bunch of stuff done to
get the brakes to work right. There are a bunch of pictures at
http://www.pbase.com/jeffdoble/v8_audi_4000q.

The car seemed quite quick, and sounded great ripping down the front
straight. The owner's comment was that the V8 weighs a bit less than the
5-cylinder.

Good luck!
