Javad got the idea.
This is a race car, and the reason I have the rupture is because it got a blow
during a rally, even with a UHMW sheet protecting the line.
The key is, like he said, get the right stuff everytime the lines go through
sheet metal.
The best way is using a -AN type line (Aeroquip, Earl's, etc.) but these lines
allow fumes to scape, so no matter what you'll smeel fuel inside the car, and
rally rules mandate that we keep our windows close (yes, it's different than
road racing). I'm considering what other fellow rally racers do with SS hard
tubes, with extra protection at each wall and per suggestion of other friend
with a 270 degrees coil of the tube to absorb movement.
Thanks for the concern though. I also think that street cars should not do
this type of thing unless you go the distance in safety.
I advocate safety first in any racing condition, no wonder I have yet use a
go-fast part in the car (they all seating in my garage). Stock form is enough
to put me in trouble.
Cheers,
Carlos
