Anyone know the best place to buy rear tie rod end (1986 4000 S quattro 5
cyl), or is a tie rod from another car compatible (just the end-I have alot of
VW tie rod ends!). My best price so far is $175 cdn. I also need front
shocks-recommendations, I was am going to use KYB otherwise ($160 cdn or 105
US for a pair). I have priced Boge shocks (turbo gas $550 cdn/4 or 350 US/4)
and that seems a bit much. I know Blau wants $269/4 but I have to pay shipping
and duties! What about springs-I have read that H&R are highly recommended but
the prices are all over the place. I would appreciate any input, email me
directly. I am trying to keep the car as affordable as possible but still get
some quality (ie not Gabriel shocks). I am Canadian and will buy from the
states if the price warrants it-it would have to be half of the cdn price.
