Batteries, not tires

Not sure if this will start a thread like the topic of
tires, but the victim is a 1990 100q that needs a new
battery.  I've heard good things about Optima, but
they are hard to find in central Il.  So I was
wondering about the groups expierence with different
battery makers as well as side post batteries.

I have a 600 watt amp in the car, an aftermarket head
unit, and with winter on its way, I would like
something "strong."  Cold cranking amps I believe is
that unit of measure.
