Actually, the McPherson adaptation with a single triangular arm and a
tie rod - as is the case in the rear of the 4kq/Cq - causes the Camber
to vary at different points of suspension travel. Even if the wheel
alignment is performed under a simulated load state with the front
raised and the rear under compression, the stock suspension doesn't
reach the depths shorter springs and shock absorbers will at the point,
especially if they have any progression in them.
The difference in the "zero" position of the rear suspension arms at the
alignment procedure also provides an offset to the Camber values at the
same suspension arm angles in stock vs. short springs. The difference
can be very small but also very crucial. It's the same as when you
notice your Cambers are -2 degrees off at the alignment position after
installing lowering springs.
