No, I believe you are not. On the other hand, the bumper's edge does
extend quite high along the wheel well, and - at least in my case - the
scrapage occured at just about 50 deg off the top. I'm sorry I forgot to
explain this in the first place.
Examining this photo: http://tinyurl.com/nyk1 , you can see the black
trim on the rear bumper. The contact zone was right about there, from
top to half way. Trimming the bumper just a bit around there helped and
the rubber now moves freely.
But, I do have to agree. The effect is very minimal, and in my case, it
was just a matter of a few particles :)
