Header time, suspension too, and a bomb q

Nah, Rob. There's always the proverbial brick wall. :-(

Your brakes will still work with both a dead bomb and a dead engine but you
will lose all power assist with the brakes. The main function of the bomb
comes into play in situations where the right foot is still actively
providing fuel to the engine and the left foot is frantically trying to
slow the car for the next corner. Main power brake assist is the old
fashioned vacuum boost. With power to the engine, especially with a turbo,
there is little if any vacuum there to provide brake boosting. This is the
function of the bomb - to provide brake assist when the vacuum assist
feature can't.
