Yes there is a way to adjust it from the factory. On the back of the
instrument cluster is a set of three "address switches" or "dip" switches.
They have three positions. The manual tells you what the settings need to
be, but they have positions for +- 5,10,and 15% adjustments. I don't know if
it will adjust enough for your car to be accurate(yours is about 50% off)
but you might be able to get closer, and it depends on where yours starts
from(most are not set to 0% from the factory).

Please tell me if it is possible to correct an innacurate trip computer. It
is reading an average of 27+mpg per tankful, when I am actually getting a
little over 19mpg combined. All facets of computer seem to work, but if the
top mpg is an average of the whole tankful (without resetting inbetween
trips), then this thing is way off. Anyone out there with the experience of
dealing with this thing? If it is inaccurate, are there any baby-boomer Audi
technicians who know this car at a dealership? Mark
