97A6Q wont give me the key

I'll take a guess that you are having problems getting into the "lock"
position. You know, where you turn the key fully and the steering
column locks. There is some kind of pin that engages the column when
this happens. My guess is that something in that column lock mechanism
or in the lock itself is a bit gummed up and not moving as freely as
it should. Could that be the case?
Another guess... Isn't there a spring involved in that lock pin? Could
that be broken, or very weak?
