So if it does alleviate the screeching what might I conclude?

I have honed the cylinders to break the glaze to prepare for the new
rings. so it definately is not the slipperiest of surfaces now that
the lucas prep oil has probably been worked out (I assembled it in
july and haven't started it yet).

your thoughts?

hole) and seeing if that alleviates the screeching?

 hand,(one cranking, and one listening). As each cylinder reached top
 the sound of "dry cylinder screeching came closer through each
 corresponding plug hole. I am guessing that it is because of the lack
