roughly, 80-83 coupes and fwd 5 speed 4ks. In other words, that is the
tranny on the car in question already.

As I said, your friend already has that tranny. It's almost the highest
geared FWD 5 speed Audi made (I think there might have been one with
ridiculously high gears in an economy version of the 4k? Ti?)

Clean off the top of the bellhousing and see if you can read the code.
It should look like it once said "QF". This is a tranny that will
almost get you to 90 mph in third.
