'83 Coupe GT oil light problems

Hi all,

I have been having a problem with my oil light, I think a similar 
problem to what was discussed recently. My oil light flickers often 
when going up hills, it will especially do it when accelerating, and if 
I let off the throttle, it will go out, and accelerate again and it 
will come on.

All the while my pressure gauge stays constant at just over 5 bar, it 
sits at around 3 bar at idle (this seems high to me- is that normal?). 
I have checked the oil level several times and it hasn't changed- it is 
just over 3/4 full.

I am going to give it a oil and filter change today, perhaps it didn't 
have the right weight oil in it when I got it or something.

The other, perhaps unrelated thing is my oil temperature gauge doesn't 
work. It goes right up if I ground the wire off the sender, but hardly 
moves if I touch it to the sender when warm. Is this most likely a bad 
sender? The engine doesn't seem to be getting hotter than it should, 
but I would like to know where it is running at.
