Dear Brett,

Thank you so much for your kind note. I'm glad you're not Igor, who is actually the person I was seeking out. But, perhaps you misread my post. Identity aside, I'll go ahead and address your comments and questions.

First of all, I don't have an organizational chart for Audi North America, so I did not know that Len Hunt was a VP. Perhaps the new staff chart is being distributed by mail to all Audi owners. I'll be looking for mine. Apparently, yours needs some updating as well.

While I normally don't expact free repairs on my cars with over 100k miles on them, my Internet research told me that Igor Kessel managed to get a free repair on his ABS control module in January of 2004 for a 1998 A4. Having not fallen off a turnip truck as of late, it seemed that investigating this situation further would be a smart move. I suppose if you were looking at a $1500 repair on your car, you wouldn't be just tickled for Audi to cover it? I must be nuts to have thought of such a thing.

And finally, to answer your question as to what entitles me to a free repair? I've spent almost $8300 on this car since I purchased it in the spring of 2001. That includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Most people would agree that amount is considerable on a 5-year old vehicle.

Thanks again for such warm welcome to the group.

Sincerely,

Aubrey Parker
