And that is why consumer reports lists the A6 as one of the worst used cars to own. AoA quality has gone downhill since my '84 CGT AFAIAK. The coupe was one of the most reliable cars that anyone of my close friends and family have owned and there are 3 Hondas in that mix. It left me stranded once @ 250K because I didn't have the brains to ever replace the fuel pre-filter. I'm glad I gave the A6 up after the lease was over, though. It took 120K to sort out my '95Q. The A8 is terrible. Both leak like sieves. Let's just leave it at that. I am just happy I do the work myself ( or am I ;) ). I own them for their "driveability", not reliability. I just can't find another vehicle that gives such good feedback and confidence while driving in any condition. I don't expect Audi to fix my crappy old cars for free, but I do not like how alot of parts that shouldn't seem to go between 50k and 100k. If another carmaker comes out with a real all wheel drive car that has a suspension and is larger than those micro-Subies, I will probably jump ship at this point.
