K&N filters bad?

Well, letting more dust into the engine is surely not a good thing.
It's not going to cause a sudden catastrophic failure, but would
certainly lead to increased wear.  In such a case, it's going to
to be difficult to point to an K&N filter and say "there, this tired
engine is worn out because of the filter...".
