If memory serves, for USA, only the 6 cylinder 528i E39 wagon came in a
stick. The 540i came in a stick in the sedan, the wagon did not. The
older E34 5 series came in a stick in the 540i sedan also (special
order, no dealer would stock it)  and although theoretically possible,
I have never seen or heard of an E34 V8 touring in stick. Of course, the
non USA 95 E34 M5 (340 hp) touring can be had in a 6
speed........................
