Type 44 Swaybar Questions..or: Listing Like A Spanish Galleon

I'm about to say something stupid here when I really shouldn't. Just
'cos I really don't have any knowledge whatsoever regarding suspension
tuning. :)

It does sound right that to tame an understeer vehicle you'd want the
back to break away more freely, but in the type-44 the engine really
does hang over the front quite a bit, so in my mind (which is usually
working in many strange ways, most often ruled by stupidity and
ignorance) that would mean there'd be some horrible weight shift as the
front tried to turn. That in turn could maybe try and shove the vehicle
forward on its original line of travel, and that means understeer. So
maybe the idea is to tame the front to reduce lateral weight shift on
cornering and maybe give the tyres and steering more opportunity to do
what they're trying to do.

Then again, maybe the answer to it is to find out who here has done a
swaybar upgrade to the front and then also the rear of the t44. I'm
interested to know, as I've got a V8 front swaybar on my wishlist for my
FWD 200.
