Not just 1 free 100 mile tow, but 4x 100 miles per year. Given that a AAA+
membership costs a mere $80/year, I think it's well worth the investment.

As far as "qualifying" when I joined you didn't have to be a member for a
year to get the + level of service nor did prior towing seem to matter. I
had a car that needed to get to the shop from Vail to Boulder, Co. (a little
over 100 miles) I joined, and three days later got the car flat-bedded down
to the Front Range. Maybe that's changed, though.

Plus you can get maps at any AAA office for free, too! Nice if you're taking
a road trip into new territory.
