That might be it. The thermostat housing is down load on the driver's
side of the block near the front, probably about even with #1
cylinder. It is sort of dome shaped and bolts to the block with 2
bolts. There's a rubber o-ring that seals it. A new t-stat should
come with the o-ring, though if it doesn't be sure to get a new one.
