5000TQ deceleration and stalling

This is one time I'd suggest the obvious culprit - the Idle Stabilizer
Valve. It is probably sticking closed or possibly not getting a good
connection.
Often problems are high idle and caused more by throttle body switch or
wiring, but in this case I'd rule out the valve first. Usually it sticks
open causing a high idle, but can stick closed or not be getting a good
electrical contact.

Hi,
My 1988 5ktq has an intermittent problem where it sometimes stalls upon
deceleration. If I "blip" the throttle a couple of times as I see the RPM's
heading toward 0, I can avoid this problem. So far, I've disconnected the
deceleration valve to no avail. It seems to do this only after the vehicle
has warmed up so I suspect it is temperature related.
Does anybody have any ideas of what to try next?
Thanks in advance.
