If there's no power to the fuel pump connector in the trunk, you may have a
bad fuel pump relay.  On the other hand, the fuel pumps are known to just
die.  That's what happened to my '87 5ktq.   Just quit.  After removal, it
wouldn't run  when connected directly to a battery.  So it was just plain
shot.   The waste gate frequency valve should have no impact on fuel pump
operation.  It could make the turbo not perform well.
