I believe the fuel pump relay can be jumped with a short
piece of wire, forcing the fuel pump to run all the time
the ignition is on.  Not safe, but it takes the relay
out of the equation.

Try chris at force5auto.com.  He deals in used Audi parts, and
can probably get you what you need.  He can overnight the part
to you so you don't have to leave home.
