Not to butt in, but before I made up a hard line for my 996 calipers on my
coupe, I used the rear rubber lines off a coupe for the front. They were a
little longer and worked just fine. The female fitting in the caliper is a
match for the male end on the Audi OEM line. After I realized I didn't have to
move the caliper, to change the pads, I made up hard lines. Of course, the
coupe uses a flex, hard line, flex line for the original G60 fronts. So I
only used the flex line from the inner fender to the strut and then replaced the
hard line/flex line from the strut to the caliper with a hard line.

Hey Brett-
Regardless of the fact that you and I disagree on this issue, explain
to me where you can get OEM rubber lines for an Audi that has Porsche
calipers on it.
