Shawn,

Getting the pulley out is easier than it looks.  Just get a steering lock 
plate remover from Harbor Freight Tools.  Looks like a "U" shape piece of 
steel with a hole at the bottom of the u.  Costs about $6.  Now cut about 1 
inch off each leg.  The width is just right to fit over the pulley.  Now 
put in the bolt that fits the outer threads with its appropriate sized nut 
through the hole.  Thread the bolt into the pulley and with a crescent 
wrench holding the bolt, twist the nut with another wrench until the pulley 
comes off.  Takes only a couple of seconds to get it out.  In some cases, 
you can turn the puller around and use it to press the new pulley 
in.  NEVER EVER use that skinny bolt to install the pulley.  The shaft will 
snap off and you'll be in a world of hurt.
