in defense of CARFAX

OK, Mr. Dikeman and the rest of the list, I will
simply say that CARFAX saved me from an $8,000 mistake
3 years ago.

The car had been wrecked, rebuilt, and being pawned
off by someone who had lots to hide.  A fellow of an
Eastern European persuasion that did this for a
living, I will add.

So, it's not perfect...but the $20 I paid in 2002 was
money well spent to get away from a bad situation.
