(Okay, now, no more off list posts about what a crappy car I bought, please!)

Now, I need to change the tranny fluid in my 1995 A6 Quattro Automatice.

It acts like it is low, and there IS a small tranny seal leak.
Not sure whether I should just have the seal fixed and then change it
at the same time OR immediately change it and get the fluid levels
back up to where they should be.

The dealership tells me that there is no plug and no dip stick and that the
pan has to be dropped and the fluid pumped back in.

So WHERE do they pump it back in. Is this a spot know only to dealers.

Can we do that at home.

I have other work for them to do that I would rather try to do this at home
IF I can do it without wrecking the car.

Symptoms:

The car only flares (big rpm flare) and clunks on advance from stop
with slight gas pedal (not on medium gas pedal)
when it is both warmed up itself AND the
outside temperature is near 100º. did not do this on the drive home from
Denver and does not do it in Flagstaff. Has done it both times on the
trip to Phoenix.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!
