Clutch Job : Input S won't go thru pilot b-any tricks?

40 years of this has taught me that you have to support the tranny at the center of gravity and GENTLY wiggle it up and down, and side to side, as you install it.  No other tricks that I know of, just patience and careful effort.  The angle has to be right, and you may have to readjust the height as you go.  I watch the angle relative to the flywheel.  Sometimes they go in like butter, sometimes I have to walk away for a while, sometimes more than once.  John
