buying new B6-stick or Tiptronic?

If the deal's that good, load it up with options including Tip. I have 5
Audis with sticks and look forward to a 4.2 v8 automatic in the future. I
don't totally agree that automatics make you give up all control. Every one
has it's own shift characteristics and one can learn to drive it
"manually-minded" which does not mean manually shifting it. The V8's auto
is a great example. As you learn it's logic, you can use your foot to
"control" when it shifts based on your driving conditions. With the SEM
switch on that and Tip on your new Passat, if you ever get really
control-freaky, you can really push it around. ;-)
