Thanks Ben!

Currently trying to decide which way to go with this engine, it has
280,000 kms on it, but seems to be holding together reasonably well. I
have a VEMS EFI kit to put *somewhere*, and it *may* end up on this one
as a practice run for something more ambitious later. Currently torn
between getting new lifters, valve guides, etc, or just tearing down my
spare engine, and picking the best 10 lifters from two sets.

268, 270, 272? Elgin / Shrick / Blau / other?
Looking bone stock first, but with plans to EFI in the medium term.
Board is built, just starting to accumulate sensors and other bits and
pieces. Have Javad's 10v fuel rail, looking to find injectors asap, etc
etc...
Tempted to just grab the one you linked to, but I have trouble getting
these things shipped to New Zealand (beautiful country, but miles from
anywhere when it comes to shipping!)
If anyone has any leads on a cam supplier who ships internationally, or
any recommendations on brand, please let me know!

May have a play with a bit of port and polish grinding too, just to tidy
it up while I have it off the car. Have access to a 5 angle grinder to,
so re-seating valves is a no-brainer.

thanks for the pointers, I was looking at those and scratching my head
on the weekend. makes sense to spend 5 mins prep to protect the soft bits...
Thanks again!
