Audi of America (along with virtually any other car company) won't
write "That Letter" to help import a vehicle, because:
a)it gets them nothing
b)it endangers protected markets (just like Nikon will refuse to
service any non-USA market camera) and makes you less likely to buy
an new Audi (or a used Audi.)
c)it costs them money (someone has to sit down and figure out if in
fact your model was unchanged between USA+Canadian markets. Many
models DO have different features)
d)it puts them at risk ("yes, that car meets US crash safety
standards"...6 months later, you crash and are killed, etc.)
Far as I know, nobody except the manufacturer is qualified to write
That Letter. Dealerships don't count.
