urS4 front end clunk

Passenger side?  If so, check the steering dampener and its firewall  
mount.  Back in '99-00, a bunch of us at the eS2 'launch party'  
noticed on the several S-cars present that the mount can flex  
significantly and eventually crack; mounting is very flimsy.
