I would also add that sometimes the indirect route is the best one. If
you have any kind of rapport with the parts dept. (if you own an Audi,
you do) and ask them if they can call service and get you the code. One
local dealer has a real prick running the service dept., anything I need
from them I get through the parts manager who I know. The techs will
almost always help out the parts guys, or they might be sitting around
wasting billable hours waiting for parts that "were on the wrong shelf."
