84 4KSQ Accelerator (Pedal) Linkage

Not familiar with that particular unit. It does sound like my Scirocco. Is 
there a larger hole in the accelerator pedal bracket that the rubber bushing 
pops into? If so, its a common and (stunningly) inexpensive dealer item.
