Wow that's gnarly.

A few light hammer taps is all it ever takes for me on any if the audi's
i've had. One of the upsides of california car ownership. Crap gas being the
major downside.

The other obvious tip is to slather the faces with anti-seize on assembly.
Even here I still coat everything in the stuff. Growing up in Boston I
remember the misery of rusted, frozen nuts.
