Start with changing in line filter between the tank and pump inlet
(presuming that the pump is under the car, not inside of tank), and add
a spoonful of ATF or better 2 stroke oil on a tankful. While changing
the filter you could also empty the tank, and see what comes out, and
establish if tank cleaning is your next repair. Use fine filter, like
paint shop one or similar when returning drained fuel.
