NG with blown head gasket...how long can it run like that?

Yes, other than the blown GH, the car is very roadworthy...it just passed
Massachusetts' state inspection. And for $250 or under, just how good can I
expect a car to be? Yes, I have considered all the costs of a breakdown, and
accepted it. The title will be in the car when we go, just in case I have to
junk it. My thought process is that an old Audi with a stick shift tranie
has a pretty much indestructible power train and I am at least familiar with
the type 89 (had an 88 90 FWD 4-cyl auto) and familiar with the NG that is
in this one (my CGT has an NG). Overall, an early 80q seems like a good
choice for a BABE Rally car....at least to me it does. lol
