Mark,

If the failed reading is at idle, it may help. Essentially, that is
all it adjusts, is Idle and right off idle. However, as you reduce CO,
you increase NO, so keep a close eye for the balance. As for adjusting
before going you cna use the "lean best Idle" ideal. That is, adjust
it toward the lean side (unscrewed) of the smoothest idle you can
achieve. Do this with the O2 unplugged, BTW.
