hey all - you definitely don't want to sand / sandblast / etc brake
rotors. with these methods there is no way to insure the rotor faces
are flat. also the silica in most abrasives is not good to have
embedded into the rotor faces. surface rust on rotors is a non issue
[pads will clean them in 3 seconds of use] and if pad deposits can't
be bed out, then the rotors should be turned or blanchard ground.
you should see the face our brake engineer made when i asked him about
sanding rotors. =)
