A4 Avant spewing oil

(Checks Family Album...) Oh.  I think the same rules apply. It may be weeping at 
the hose joints to the filter housing, but yes, it could also be old, hard gaskets.

It looks like there is a "sealing cap" (part number 059 117 061) that secures 
the filter housing to the block. That cap may be visible when you remove the oil 
filter. My guess is that the hoses, being exposed to water and salt, may start 
leaking if you (re)move the oil cooler.
