On the '88 5kcs, at least, there is definitely an in-line fuse, dangling
behind the radio, in addition to the fuse in the main panel. One way
to blow this fuse, but not the only way, is to turn on the radio while
preventing the electric antenna from extending. For example, if you
cover the antenna with masking tape while painting the body and
then forget to remove the tape ....

The good news is that the fuse holder is easy to reach when you pull
the radio. I think this fuse is not adequately documented in the RB
manuals.
