Trying to validate if seller is legit

I'm with the rest of the clan... SCAM.
I am willing to bet he will not divulge a telephone number, and if he does what's the bet it isn't a London, U.K. number!
I played along with a scammer a few years back and managed to get a wonderfully legitimate looking Bank Draught from the Third National Bank of America. When I looked up the bank address from the document it wasn't real. I called the bank and they weren't interested. I called the York regional Police, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and none of them were interested in chasing the matter even though they could have had someone waiting for the scammer to show up at a mail box in Vancouver with the arrangements I was hypothetically making. This BS has no end in sight.
I suggest we all just yank these guys along as hard as possible and even start trying to scam the scammers. The whole thing pisses me off.
... end of rant.

I was contacted regarding a transmission I enquired about some time back. A person by
the name of Arnold Jones insists he can ship me a transmission in perfect condition
(mint) was the term used. It has sounded to good to be true, so I did not reply back
with the information he requested and sent no payment. Below is some of the emailing.
The fellow called me and was trying to follow through. I told him straight up that he
sounded like a scammer and when he mentioned Western Union check flags went off. He
insisted that he isn't. It would be ashamed if he is legit and I did not do business
with him because of other unscrupulous persons have made me distrustful.
So has anyone dealt with this guy before?
Ben

he took paypal - he said no. ***
