[s-cars] A4 turbo mod questions

Steve,
My first car was a 1987 Bertone (FIAT) X1/9. And I *almost* purchased a 124
sport (the sedan, right.. or was it a 128 sport coupe... the sedan, not the
ragtop) that an old guy wanted me to have (cheap), because I'd take care of
it. I was in high school and the car was starting to rust... not something
I could afford to fix so I declined it. To this day, when I see a picture
of one... I keep saying... oh... that would be such a fun car....

Anyhow, if the kid is responsible.. go for it. No matter WHAT he drives,
he'll overdrive it sometimes. The trick is to keep him reeled in enough. A
little power he might actually respect. Personally, in high school I drove
that X1/9 like I stole it... ALL of the time... you had to since the105 HP
was all at the top end. No matter what you do, take him to a few teen
driving clinics or winter driving schools. THE best (and cheap!) investment
you can make for him.
